Synthesis of Findings: In my experience, I believe that Web 2.0 tools are not yet fully integrated into current content curriculum guides and standards, at least as not as far as the curriculum guides that I am familiar with. For me personally, my curriculum guides that I work with for Standard American Government and Gifted and Talented American Government were written in the summers of 2006 and 2008 respectively. For the most part, the boom of Web 2.0 tools available occurred after each of these guides was written. Although both guides do make a point of incorporating technology and offering a regular technology component to the students through the lessons, they are not completely in line with the Web 2.0 skills which are driving most 21st Century classrooms today. Although the guides themselves do not fully integrate these tools and skills, I do believe that more and more schools are making it possible for teachers to use technology and Web 2.0 skills in their classrooms. It is now really just a matter of teachers taking the initiative to familiarize themselves with these tools and bringing them into their classrooms and daily lessons.
